How do NFC business cards work?+
An NFC chip stores the complete website URL you provide. Hold the card near a compatible phone’s NFC reader, then follow any notification to open the link. Internet access is needed to load the website.
Do NFC business cards work with iPhone and Android?+
They require a compatible NFC-capable phone. Apple supports background tag reading on iPhone XS and later while the phone is in use. Android normally reads tags when the screen is unlocked and NFC is enabled. Reader location and prompts vary by device; a phone may require you to tap a notification.
Can I change the link on my NFC card later?+
The programmed URL is not customer-editable. Diyar Print Lab can reprogram the card with an NFC reader/writer; contact us to arrange an update. Separately, if the URL leads to a web page you manage, you can edit that page’s content without changing the card’s stored URL.
What are NFC business cards made of?+
The current catalogue offers Metal in Gold, Brushed Silver or Rose; PVC in Gold, Brushed Silver, Rose or Black; and natural Bamboo Wood. All cards are single-sided and measure 54 × 85 mm. Engraving is optional for Metal and Bamboo Wood. Double-sided production is not offered in the current catalogue.
Do I need an app to use one?+
A compatible phone can open a standard website link without a dedicated Diyar app. NFC must be supported and enabled, and a notification or unlock step may be required. Programming or changing the card’s stored URL is a separate service.
How fast can I get NFC business cards in Portland?+
Standard production is estimated at 7–10 business days after order placement. Incomplete payment or print-ready artwork, or requested proof revisions, can extend the ready date; shipping or delivery transit is additional. Confirm the schedule on your quote. Pickup is by appointment at our Beaverton studio.
