Engraving on wood & metal, built to last
A focused beam marks the material itself for distinctive awards, signage and gifts. The result depends on the material, finish and laser process.
A mark that is part of the material — not printed on it
Laser engraving uses a focused beam to mark or remove a material’s surface. Laser type and material matter: wood engraving, coated-metal marking and bare-metal engraving can require different processes. The resulting mark is not a guarantee against wear or weathering.
Suitable materials can also be cut into custom shapes; not every material that can be marked can be cut with the same machine. Tell us the material, thickness, size and artwork and we will confirm an exact quote — feasibility and pricing are confirmed per project.
Wood vs metal
Wood
- ◆Walnut, maple, birch, and bamboo
- ◆Rich, toasted contrast where the beam burns in
- ◆Perfect for signs, coasters, ornaments, and gifts

Send artwork
A vector file (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) gives the cleanest cut and engrave.
We set the laser
Power and speed are tuned to your exact material for the right depth and contrast.
Engrave or cut
The beam etches your design — and can cut the shape from the same file.
Finish & check
We clean up and inspect every piece before it ships or you pick it up.
Engraved & cut, made to order
Signs & plaques
Office signage, door signs, and dedication plaques in wood or metal.
Awards & trophies
Recognition pieces that look as serious as the moment they mark.
Tags & coasters
Branded name tags, luggage tags, keychains, and coaster sets.
Gifts & keepsakes
Personalised cutting boards, ornaments, and milestone gifts.
Permanent, precise, premium
Engraving marks the material rather than adding a printed ink layer. Contrast, fine detail and durability depend on the substrate, coating and process. Tell us about outdoor use or frequent handling so we can confirm a suitable finish; material testing may be needed.
Sending artwork? Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) give the cleanest results. Outline your fonts and keep line art crisp. We can also photo-engrave from a high-resolution image.
Frequently asked questions
What materials can you laser engrave?+
We engrave and cut wood (walnut, maple, birch, bamboo), acrylic, leather, and metals such as stainless steel, anodised aluminium, and brass-tone finishes. Tell us your material and we will confirm what is possible.
What is the difference between laser engraving and printing?+
Engraving marks or removes the material’s surface rather than adding a printed ink layer. Appearance and durability depend on the substrate, coating, process and exposure; engraving is not a guarantee against wear or weathering.
Can you cut custom shapes as well as engrave?+
Cutting and engraving are available for suitable materials. Not every material that can be marked can also be cut with the same laser. Send the material, thickness and artwork so we can confirm feasibility and quote the required process.
What file should I send for laser engraving?+
Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) give the cleanest cut and engrave. We can also work from high-resolution images for photo engraving. Outline your fonts and keep line art crisp.
How much does laser engraving cost?+
Pricing depends on material, size and detail, so laser work is quoted per project. Send your artwork and dimensions. We aim to reply within one studio day (8 AM–8 PM PT, every day).
How long does laser engraving take?+
Custom laser work is estimated at 7–10 business days after required artwork approval, depending on quantity and finishing. Your confirmed quote controls the schedule. Shipping or delivery transit is additional.
