About color

RGB on screen vs CMYK on press

Monitors emit light in red/green/blue; presses lay down cyan/magenta/yellow/black ink. Some bright RGB colors (neon greens, electric blues, fluorescent oranges) cannot be reproduced exactly in CMYK. We will print as close as the press can match, but the result may look duller than the screen preview.

How to prepare files for accurate color

  • Confirm the required color mode, output profile and export settings for your product before converting artwork.
  • Keep an original copy and preserve its embedded profile. Use the agreed destination profile if conversion is required.
  • Identify brand-critical colors before production and agree any requested physical proof or color specification.

ICC profiles

We do not currently publish paper/press ICC profile downloads. Before converting a color-critical file, contact us to confirm the appropriate color setup for your product and material. Do not assume a generic profile describes our production process.

Color tolerance policy

Color appearance depends on the material, finish and production process. We do not publish a universal numeric color tolerance. For color-critical work, agree the color specification and any physical proof requirements with us before production. Screen previews alone are not a color guarantee; any approved proof and the agreed specifications remain the basis for review. A separate proof is provided only when requested or included in the agreed workflow.

Screen calibration

On-screen previews are reference only. Different monitors render the same file differently. If a physical proof is provided, evaluate color on that proof under the agreed viewing conditions; a screen preview alone cannot establish final color.
